Japan: Day 15

Today we went to see the Imperial Gardens. I don’t know if that’s technically what it’s called, but it was really pretty. Got to see the moats and some of the buildings. The trees were really cool. I discovered that I have a lot of tree pictures.

Also went to Tokyo Tower. It was a little cloudy, but we could still see pretty far. If it had been sunny, we would have been able to see Mount Fuji. Oh, well. They have this spot when you’re 150 meters up where you can stand on a glass pane and look straight down to the ground. That was pretty cool. The elevator was very interesting. They announced something like, “When we get closer to the top, the elevator car may experience shaking. This is perfectly normal and there is no reason to be concerned.” Uh-huh. It wasn’t bad though. One little jerk.

Had katsudon again. It was at a proper restaurant this time. So stinkin’ good.

Fireworks tomorrow!! Hoping the weather clears up. I’ll keep you posted.
